If something's been holding you back, the answer is probably here.
Getting Started
What happens in the first meeting?
Your first meeting is a conversation, not a presentation. We talk about where you are and what you're hoping for — no prep needed, no obligation. Most people leave feeling like they can finally exhale.
Do I need to bring anything or prepare?
Nothing. Come as you are. If you want to jot down a few questions beforehand, great — but we'll figure out what matters together.
What if I just want a second opinion?
That's a completely legitimate reason to reach out. We're happy to take a look at what you have and tell you honestly what we see. No strings attached.
Is this for me?
Who do you typically work with?
Mostly people in their 40s, 50s, and 60s who've built something meaningful and want to make sure they're managing it well. Usually professionals, business owners, or people navigating a transition — divorce, inheritance, retirement on the horizon.
Is there a minimum to work with you?
There's no hard asset minimum. We offer both investment management and monthly financial planning arrangements depending on where you are in your journey. What we can't do is serve everyone — so if we're not the right fit, we'll tell you, and we'll do our best to point you somewhere that is.
How it works
How long does it take to actually have a plan?
Most clients have a plan within 30 to 60 days of our first meeting. The pace depends on how quickly we can gather information and how many moving parts are involved. The implementation process typically happens over the next 2 months over 4 separate meetings.
How often will we talk after the plan is in place?
At minimum, we meet annually to review everything and adjust for anything that's changed. Most clients hear from us more than that — we reach out proactively when something is worth your attention, and some clients prefer meeting more often on a set schedule.
Do you manage investments or just give advice?
Both. We build and manage investment portfolios as part of a comprehensive financial plan — not as a standalone product. The investments always serve the plan, not the other way around.
The money questions
How do you charge for your services?
We're fee-based, which means we're transparent about what you pay and how. We'll walk you through the full fee structure before you ever sign anything.
Trust and credentials
Are you a fiduciary?
Yes. That means we're legally and ethically required to act in your best interest — not ours, not a product company's. It's the standard we'd want if we were the client.
The honest questions
What if we start working together and it's not a good fit?
Then we'll say so — and we'd expect you to do the same. A good financial planning relationship only works if it's actually working. We'd rather have that honest conversation than keep going through the motions.
What makes you different from other financial planners?
Honestly, the relationship. A lot of advisors are competent — but clients stay with us because they feel genuinely known, not just managed. We are now part of your team.
